Why did you decide to go towards the applied protective film for your windows and doors?

We were having a significant amount of quality issues in the field due to scratches on our glass units. We needed a way to protect our glass surfaces throughout the production process and install to esure a quality product was being delivered to our customers.

What made you choose PDS for the protective film applicator and how was the installation and initial support?

We met the PDS IG team at a glass convention in Atlanta and explained our issues with the team. We felt confident through our conversations with PDS that they were a good fit to build the equipment to help with our process. The order, installation and support were seamless to integrate their equipment into our already functioning line.

How is it going now? Any issues?  Has the support been there when you needed it?

The PDS film applicator has been in operation for almost 5 years. In those past five years it is the only piece of equipment in our facility that has not had any type of mechanical breakdown.

Why did you decide to go towards the applied protective film for your windows and doors?

Market demand and existing inferior “paint on” protection. We saw it as a market opportunity.

What made you choose PDS for the protective film applicator and how was the installation and initial support?

Choice was based on machine output, quality and short payback period.

We were the first “export” country to acquire this PDS machine. It had to be specially redesigned to fit in shipping containers. Wideline did the container unpack and install ourselves due to Covid travel restrictions for Mike and the crew. The detailed instructions were easy to follow and we were able to get the machine up and running much sooner than expected.

Support has been second to none especially given the 9 hour time difference. Aaron & Steve have been the most helpful and knowledgeable suppliers of equipment I have ever dealt with.

How is it going now? Any issues? Has the support been there when you needed it?

We have recently relocated the machine to another factory. Again the support has been excellent and we were able to dismantle, transport, reassemble and commission the machine in four days. There will always be small issues encountered in our production process and we have been able to sort them all out with PDS’s efficient support network.

Tell us about Wideline? You have an incredibly impressive product line.

How’s business going and what are you most excited about for the future?

We are extremely busy at the moment and the market is strong. Our owner is currently investing heavily in new equipment and infrastructure to increase efficiency and the quality of product.
